Five Claude skills that turn code into video

A one-minute video introduced five open-source skills that help Claude make videos people stop scrolling for. Here is what each one does, how it works, how to install it, what it needs and the licence it comes with.

A short video has been going around with a simple argument: anyone can make a video with Claude now, but making one that people actually stop scrolling for is the hard part. It then names five skills that each fix a piece of that problem, and saves the one that “honestly broke my brain” for last.

The video asks you to leave a comment to receive the links. You do not need to: every link is below. Everything in this article was checked against each project’s own README on 27 October 2026. For each skill you will find what it does, how it works, how to install it, what it needs on your machine and its licence. The licences differ, and one of them does not allow commercial use, so read that line before you make anything for a client.

First, what a skill is

A skill is a folder of instructions, often with scripts and assets, that a coding agent such as Claude Code loads when a task calls for it. It teaches the agent a method it would not follow on its own: the rules of a visual style, a production workflow, or the checks to run before a video counts as finished. You install a skill once, either by cloning it into your skills folder (~/.claude/skills/ for Claude Code) or with Claude Code’s plugin command. After that, you ask for a video in plain words.

Four of these five skills make video entirely from code. Claude writes a web page or drawing code, a browser renders it frame by frame, and the frames are encoded into an MP4. Collage B-Roll is the exception: it uses Google’s Gemini video model to animate its collages.
